Tom - thank you for your considered opinion... I appreciate you taking the time to write.

A couple of things...

I don't use Facebook and so can't access your song.

Facebook isn't really my preferred medium either - it is just that the competition happens to be run thru' it. I have always made my songs available to members here - and if there is interest I will of course make this one available too on an open platform.

I would like to hope that the address also point to your rivals' songs so that we could make a considered opinion rather than just voting for your song because you are a member of this site.

I would actually only really hope that anyone would vote because they liked the track - anyone who has taken the time to listen to my work is always appreciated... And for the record - you do get access to all of the other songs. I don't think I have a chance of winning - I just wanted to see how a guitar instrumental piece would fare.

None of us here know anything about the background of this competition and really should not be being asked to influence the result.

Thank you for speaking on behalf of the whole ShadowMusic community - I am sure they are all happy knowing that you represent everyone... And, by the way, it is a voting competition - so "influencing" (strong word) is the whole point (if they like the song and wish to support it). I am guessing you won't participate in the upcoming referendum for the same reason?

I wish you the best of luck but I don't think that you should be trying to involve people who have nothing to do with it.

Thank you for your best wishes (?) - I just thought that my old friends here would be interested. (And I don't really care what you think).

Why is it that people always try to turn something genuine and nice into something pervasive and nasty?

Admin - please remove my post immediately if you deem it out of bounds.

Thanks to all.

For heaven's sake Tom, the guy writes good intstrumental tunes an is looking for support in a contest from people here who are known to like his music. If you don't want to vote, or don't like the idea then just keep quiet instead of making a mountain out of a mole hill. Music is supposed to be about pleasure, not political correctness - lighten up man, we don't need it. I fully support his campaign, it's what all the others will be doing.
