Not to detract from your performance, which was great.

I just think this doesn't work as an instrumental, there's not enough in there.

For all Mr McCartney - oh sorry, Sir Paul - has been lauded as a composer, I have been through the entire Beatles back catalogue to see which ones would be suitable for playing as an instrumental, Shadows-style, and only found two or three that work.

Easier to write new ones, in my experience.

just goes to show how we all hear things in different ways. jeff beck for one guitarist of note does loads beatles stuff. and this is just the way I hear things the beatles back catalogue (as I hear things) makes really great instrumentals. but that's what makes us all so different no offence intended here . peter

In my experience... I play what I like.
I love this song, it's so quirky with brilliantly simple chord progressions up around the 12th fret.
