Hi Rosemary!! Way to go!
That third sounds a little flat. It does too on my perfectly intonanted Brason Strat too if I'm not careful - so dont worry. Its something to do with temperal (??) tuning, where even with the most perfect intonation certain notes and chords will not be perfect in all positions. MY tip- SLIGHTLY sharpen the third. The Apache slide is coming on fine - you simply overshot - thats all. Practise makes perfect. ( I wish it did in my case!LOL! )
Cavatina - nice. The trick with a swell pedal is that you are opening the note IN ADVANCE of it being required so that the note is at volume when 'on tempo'. Try it a few times with single notes just bringing them in before you need to hear it. Its hard to think of playing the note in advance and then bringing it in so it can be heard at the right time. Even more practise!!
cheers

Hi Ian
Thanks very much for your help. It's good to know it's a common problem with that string so I'll sharpen it as you suggest. I definitely messed up a few notes on that string with the trem bar too which made it even more off pitch I think. I need to set aside some time to concentrate on the volume pedal alone - and maybe sitting down would be easier. At least I know it works but am not really sure what I'm doing yet and have to keep looking at the floor. :)
All the best
