Thanks for your replies.

Tony I've sent you a PM regarding "Spanish Harlem".

Geoff I bought my present Strat in 2000 - it's a USA '57 vintage reissue with the original Fender '57-'62 pickups. The only change that I've made is to fit a neck made by Alan Brason.
"Dawnbreaker" was recorded with the same Strat.

Hi Roger
This is great, big smooth sound on the lead and the BT, spot on.
What can beat a Q2 and a Vox AC30, just asking :D
Cheers
Franklin

Thank you Roger for the info. Still cant get my 62 reissue, same pickups, to sound as nice. But there again my guitar is Olympic White and not Fiesa Red so that could be the reason!!
Best regards Geoff.

Hi Roger, a great little number which as you said, caught your ear......i can hear why indeed! Maybe i'm the first to make a request for a number to be performed by you or indeed other contributors to this section of our wonderful website?
There is is a little gem of an instrumental by The Dakotas, which i believe was the b side of .'The Cruel Sea', entitled, 'The Millionaire' What do you think? Best Wishes' Richard. ex-Bungleflint now residing in Denmark and very active with Shadows music (just had to mention that) ;)

Thanks for the kind words Franklin, Geoff, Richard, and Ecca.

Richard I do agree with you about "The Millionaire" being a gem of an instrumental and I seem to remember that it has been posted as a soundfile at least once before.
The Dakotas recorded sound is certainly not easy to recreate - I think I remember hearing that the lead guitar line was usually doubled with a piano to get their signature sound.
That coupled with the fact that Millionaire is drenched in reverb does make it a difficult one.
