You're not a million miles away Spuddy.
Here's the pick-up and the only reason I bought the guitar.

It's a magnificent PowerGig guitar.
A game for Xbox.
Mastercrafted from solid plastic with an action that makes a Rosetti Lucky Seven seem superb.
If it was tuned correctly then the first note you played anywhere sent it out of tune.
My fingers disappeared into half an inch of strings at the 12th fret.
The whole thing is moulded, even the neck and frets but I thought that before I wrecked it for the pick-up
I'd get a tune out of it.
Sold as an encouragement for kids to play a proper guitar it 's all but unplayable and was voted worst game of 2010 BUT...... the hexaphonic pick-up is
superb for a guitar synth and would normally set you back £ 130 - £150.
I paid £20 for it on ebay . they were $150+ when they came out.

When you see it you'll understand a bit more and possibly eat your words.
Here's a clue.
It's short scale........ black........ with a stacked humbucker.
Vaguely strattish.
Volume and tone control.

Words definately eaten ecca :? Surprised you managed to play what you did !
Cheers

Cheers Neil !
I think I'm going to make a Bo Diddley type square guitar.
I got a chunk of mahogany, I only need a trem.

Got to have a trem, probably a Wilkinson V100, I love em.
