Thank you Roger! Yes I love the Strat, I realise custom made 'Strats' have become very popular these days.

Not only did that sound so right, you made it look so easy. That's true mastery of your instrument.

Many thanks Iain. Playing it over and over for years helps a lot :) and at the same time drives the wife nuts too

Robby, this is EXCELLENT!
Like Jim, I had to watch very closely to convince myself that it was you playing and not just miming to the original!
A great version, well played, with a first-class job on the backing tracks too.
Keep 'em coming.
Alan.

Hi Roby
I think that MOM and The Savage are the hardest two minutes playing for anyone emulating Hanks early material.
You have it nailed!
BTW - shouldnt the chord run at c 0.47 be B7, Dm, E7? :)
LOvely job.
cheers

Hi Alan,
Thanks for your encouragement! Much appreciated. More coming soon, although I've been doing Chet's stuff lately. I don't know if that's of interest to you.

Thanks Lynn! Much appreciated!

Hi Robby, it could start quite a debate! Lol!
Listen at c0.45 on the 1960 original. It's very understated and probably caused by Jets bass note but it sounds like the B7 morphs into Dm. I've always played it thus and it "sounds right" and the chord tabs show it too. Even on the Final Tour Hank plays a specific note D (3rd string, 7th fret) there to force that Dm. Whaddaya think, mate? ;)
