As Phil mentioned, the bandpass filter was used before the echo chamber and certainly contributed to the Abbey Road reverb sound. We similarly limit the bandwidth of the reverb. I don't understand your comment about no Bruce, he is in the right channel at the same level as the original. Maybe your right speaker is not working?

Paul.
Hi Paul, YES, the right speaker was somehow out of action. Having looked at it and got it back on line I now have the ''full line-up'', Bruce 'n all. TA!
Trying to sort out the different opinions on the two echos mentioned must be a headache for most punters on this site. Remember though, that we all have different ways of playing a guitar. I have used set-ups at Shads clubs and indeed, other people's pre-amp boxes and peddles, and in a lot of cases they won't exactly suit me, but suit the people who originated them. They will get better results than me with THERE settings whereas I would have to adjust them, sometimes considerably, to achieve the same results. Everybody's kit is personal; settings, volumes, amps, EQ's etc., etc., but one of the most forgotten things is the
intonation of the guitar, string height, guage and
how we hit those strings. Gary Taylor is one of those guys who ALSO has ''THAT TOUCH'' - you can't buy that in a box. We all enjoy trying to get that sound and we have one box that will emulate ''that sound'' under the right settings/conditions, the rest is up to us. The E-tap seems to have great potential, but it depends on who's driving it.
Just a personal view.
The nearest thing I've got is a Vox Long-Tom - nothing emulates the ''ripple'' quite as good.
Cheers,
John
