Geeeeeeerronimo !..... video

Postby roger bayliss » 20 Nov 2009, 14:49

Hi peeps back again with another video this time I chose to do Geronimo...

Usual recording method as with my recent outings with my Kodak camera and mic so sounds as good as that can be.. usual equipment used, Fender 57 Vintage Strat, Vox Heritage AC30H2L amp top boost chl with Magicstomp for echos and UBHank vol 1 for backing via my portable stereo on floor in front of the amp.

Hope you like it ! :)

Thanks Ernie & Phil

I will give that whammy bar a little bit of TLC next time I get her out of the case and re string her..

I often wonder if Hank actually held the trem arm on some of these later Top Boost numbers as they appear many of them to be played well up towards or on the neck itself !

I'll let you have some PTFE tape, Rog!! :D
Great track to wake up to on a Sunday Morning!
You're very brave to put your playing up on video.
Great sound from those 54s and that Heritage. Expertly played as always.
cheers

You don't hear Geeeeeeerronimo ! posted very often as a soundfile here and it makes a nice change.

I agree with Ernie when he said that he liked the sound you were getting. Regarding the tremelo arm I reckon that with all the PTFE tape that we buy between us we must be keeping the plumbing trade on a 'sound' footing. Boom boom ;)

Excellent Roger #1

Spotted the little nose wipe at 1:26. Why is it that your nose always runs/itches just as you are concentrating on recording something :? - it happens to me all the time.
