RETURN TO THE ALAMO_VIDEO FROM MOVIE_PLAYED BY GARY TAYLOR

Postby Spike » 19 Aug 2014, 13:11

Hi Everyone

Here is a tune that hasnt been played much on the sites.
The Shadows released this in 1977.
Its not Hank's typical sound and I wonder if anyone thinks he might have been influenced by the guitar sound on Enrico Morricone's The Good The Bad and the Ugly??

This tune http://youtu.be/AzclcUJwNf8 was performed by Gary Taylor.

Cheers

The message on you tube says, "This video is private". Come on Spike, do your stuff, this tune is one of my favourites
from the "lesser known" period.

Cheers, Alan.

First class Spike. Thanks for posting.

I see the information at the end includes "2004 American Strat. 54 pickups"
Is this a 50th Anniversary? Two tone sunburst, maple neck etc.?

Cheers, Alan.

Hi Alan and Phil

Thanks for watching and for your nice comments.

Alan:
Its a white strat...not sure if its commemorating any particular year.
Paul may want to add to my answer.

Phil:
Its a great movie which I have the DVD and I really enjoyed editing it in progression from start to end to give a taste of the movie.
Gary's playing fitted in really well and I particularly liked the sound of Pauls guitar.
This video basically flows on from Gary's last one...Santa Anna as it was Santa Anna who led his huge army to fight against a small defensive unit of men at The Alamo.

Cheers

Thanks Roger

Nice to see your smiling face :)

Alan:
Paul's guitar is a 50th anniversary 2004 Fender Strat, but they gave us Aussies white ones and not sunburst.
Pauls are fitted with CS54 pick-ups.
