ATLANTIS- the absolutely unauthorised Swing version

Postby Stratpicker » 05 May 2015, 20:25

OK – a bit of Springtime Fun.
Its not the right sound, not using the right pickups, the right strings, the right pleck or even the right echo unit – but it is loads of fun to play.
The absolutely non-approved version of Atlantis, as it might have been played Live by a Band.
Enjoy -or round up the Lynch Mob!!
cheers

Lynch mob saddled up and ready for action!
Seriously Ian, I thought your version was the proverbial breath of fresh air and thoroughly enjoyed it.
I assume the backing was all your own work. BIAB?
Well done.
Cheers

The link worked this morning. Very nicely played, as ever, Ian, and a very pleasant-to-listen-to version. Not what I was expecting though – when you said 'swing' I was anticipating something in the Miller/Goodman style

Nice one Slock.
How did you get the strings to behave themselves in BIAB ?

Apache Tango or, even better, Peace Pipe as a Sousa march?

Thanks guys, much appreciated. Loads of fun to do.
BB was having none of playing the right string part so a friend played it on a midi synth.
Excuse me, I have to go - there are men on horses outside with a rope!!!! :D
Ian
BTW, Noel, I already did Peace Pipe as Reggae - its on here somewhere, and I have an uncompleted Apache Funk in my Band In A Box for the future.
