Bossa Roo

Again this is an example of the Vintage Sounds Package of Christian Boileau.

This time with a BT of UBHank. I have done it before this composition of John Rostill and Bruce Welch. Originally it was recorded by The Shadows on March, 26, 1965 and issued on the LP "The Sound of The Shadows". This LP was released in July 1965.
What you see is me sitting and playing in the middle of my equipment that I need for a sound check. Right after this recording I went packing my car.
The patch Bossa Roo used from the Vintage Sound Package was only EQ-ed for my guitar. The sound should look like the original sound on the LP. To you to judge how far this is true, but I think it is close.
This may be one of the songs that has originally been recorded with a Burns guitar. Please keep that in mind as this is a Fender recorded.
Best regards
Jan

Sounds fine to me Jon, doesn't matter that it's a Strat not a Burns!

Actually, as this tune is a bit different from the 'traditional' Shads sound (whatever that is, answers on a postcard please - would need to be a large one though) it would probably sound ok on a lot of guitars.

(I've been practising it on a Gibson al week.)

Thanks Uncle,

Well the goal was here to achieve a sound as close as possible to the Burns with a Fender. You are right you can play it on any guitar, but that can be done with all of the Shadows tunes. However, not everybody appreciates that. An answer on what is That Sound cannot be put on a post stamp as there are just so many aspects that count....unless you reduce the font to unreadable :)

Thanks

Hi Jan
Well done you certainly have created a most impressive recording of "Bossa Roo"
it captured everything about it using a Fender compared to a Burns TOP MARKS to
you as I know what attention and determination you put into everything you do.
