RED RIVER ROCK The Shadows Style

Hi,
Red River Rock with a lot of compressor on the guitar. I do not like to use the compressor but this felt okay.
Hall and Collins Echo P15 is used on that one. The other equipment that I used is VOX AC 30 from the early sixties and my favorite guitar Fender Stratocaster Classic Player 60,s made in Mexico.

This was recorded by a group called The Apaches I don`t think that The Shadows have ever recorded this tune ,the original was done by the American group Johnny and The Hurricanes in 1959, great sound nevertheless.

Thanks for your comments. I know that The Apaches has made a great version of Red River Rock but I think also that this one is recorded by The Shadows.

The Shadows have never released Red River Rock and as far as anyone knows, they have never recorded it either.

I have access to the complete EMI recording log from 1959 - 1968 and Red River Rock does not appear there.

However, She Wears Red Feathers does appear.

Sorry to say but you can find Red River Rock recorded by The Shadows in the album called 20 Years Of The Shadows from 2002.

Hi Ove! Yes, the info of these albums are really misleading. I guess anyone can put together an album and call it anything as long as the music is copyright free (is that the correct description?).
Anyway, I enjoyed your version of RRR very much, Ove!
