A nice little tune and well played. According to Wikipedia,
Jag ska måla hela världen lilla mamma was composed by Josef Toje and the words were written by Britt-Marie Toje-Edström in 1952. A child sings the song to her mother, who complains that the flowers wither so quickly in the narrow alleys in Stockholm's Gamla stan (Old Town).
I'll translate a few verses:
Mom, you look sad, why don't you smile?
Would you like me to paint something for you?
I still have many beautiful colours left.
Don't cry, mom, everything will turn out fine.
I shall paint the whole world, little mommy,
So it's full of sunshine every day.
Rain and gloom don't matter,
The sun will shine through your window some day.
You wanted to buy all the flowers,
Little mom, I'll paint them for you,
I shall paint the whole world, little mommy,
And everything will be so bright and cheerful for you.
Make a wish, little mom, make a wish for anything at all,
I have many colours and they won't run out.
All the stars in the sky,
All the castles in fairytales,
I can paint everything, mom, just make a wish.
