Not one you will often, if at all on these forums, only had the original Shadows music book to work from and replaced vocals with various toys around the "Studio" an old one of mine from 2013.

Yes, have got the record from way back, but as I dont have the patience to play by ear I use mostly band scores or tab, and the sheet music for this is really only very basic and leaves most of the guitar work out so had to knuckle down and work it out. if was only supposed to be a fun piece but was more work than I thought.

At the time of the single (summer 1964) and even more so at the time of the whole EP a couple of months later, I thought that The Shadows' direction was changing, for a more earthy RnB sound. This was particularly emphasised by the track Ranka Chank, which loses the title track for musical value and validity.

To a limited extent, they did pursue the RnB theme, but only with the odd track (eg, Alice In Sunderland).
