Mexican Bodega video x 2

Hello friends!

Here are two covers about this inspired and so beautiful song by L. Clerwall. The backing track belongs to Roger Allcock from his CD “backing a favourite”.

The guitar cover respects the original arrangement (I believe). The echo used here is Yamaha Magicstomp with Charlie Hall’s EFTP, patch 18. Also I used Charlie Hall's Cuttin' Edge. The guitar is a G&L S-500. On this version I 5% slowed down the backing track.

On this baritone cover I modified little things here and there. The echo used here was Alesis Q2 with Charlie Hall’s EFTP (2009 version), patch 0-71 VOX LTM 456, together with a patch 33, Tremolo 3, EFTP for Magicstomp. The guitar is a Jerry Jones Neptune Baritone with Bigsby tremolo. On this version I slowed down 10% the backing track.

Please, give it a listen.

Regards,
Marcelo.

Hi Marcelo - I enjoyed both versions of this tune. Lennart Clerwall has written some great instrumentals !!

I am a little curious as to why you chose to slow the tempo.

Hello Roger!

Thank for your words!

At a beginning was my intention to post only the baritone version. When I rehearsed it with your track as it is, I found I need a lower speed to sound cooler for this instrument. So I slowered it the way I did.

Then I think to make the one with guitar, more as a tutorial contribution for the different forums. And I also feel I have to slowered it a little reffered to the guitar version I took as base (the one from The Pistoleros from Norway).

Regards,
Marcelo.
