SANTA BABY

Postby geronimo7476 » 05 Dec 2010, 15:02

Hi All, this is my last Christmas offering. I chose the Taylor Swift version of SANTA BABY to work from. The BT is my own, using all my usual gear, the only thing I added was a slide on the choruses on my 82 strat.

These three tunes I posted are from a Christmas CD I recorded over the last couple of years, Santa Baby being the title.
You can see it on my website, ccshadowrider.com
I hope you enjoy my version of this tune.
Cheers CC

Hi Charles
Great Fun! Never was struck on MM singing this - made me cringe!! But this reworking has none of this effect. Its now a smashing Christmas tune and superbly played.
Sad to say - I've never heard of Taylor Swift ! Male or female? :?:
Your BTs all carry a CC 'Hallmark' and this one is no exception - crystal clear and full of detail.
cheers
Ian

What a Looker!!! Not you, Charles   - that Taylor girl. We'll have that Ecca proposing again!
Wonder what she would have sounded like if her harmonies had not been computer generated? :?
Unlike some - YOU - who had to work them all out AND play them yourself.
Funny thing - I STILL love your Instro version and even Taylor Swifts version still makes me cringe!
cheers

Thanks Ian, True she's something else indeed, Ecca, I saw her first!!! I'm not into the electronic harmoniser thing at all, even if I visually pull the notes into exact sync it doesn't sound natural, I prefer to play my harmonies as I feel them. What Taylor Swift does, like many others, Brad Paisley included, takes away the 'human' factor. Anyway, a good bouncy tune, I thought there would be potential as an insrtumental.

Cheers for now, CC
