Hi Everyone

I have just put up our latest tune from Paul.

It can be found at http://www.mrsite.co.uk/usersitesv27/tv ... /page6.htm

Click on the jukebox button and scroll to the last tune.

Gear used:
Pauls Fender, Pauls AC15 clone and TVS3.

Excellent Spike, Congratulations to Paul.

Was some of the melody double tracked? The intro and middle eight for example.

But I missed the finger squeak on the low E string towards the end of the song. I'm serious! I think it added to the dynamics of the tune. It was one example of finger noise that had to be left in (Bossa Roo is another prime example where it works).

Hi Michael

Thanks for your comments mate.

Yes there was doubdle tracking on this recording which has been done again for you with the natural squeak found in the original.
Hope its more to your liking now!

Best Wishes for the New Year

Spike

A different squeak but enjoyable nonetheless!

thanks for the good-natured reply.

Yesterday I was listening to Pat Metheny and Charlie Haden's Beyond the Missouri Sky. A beautiful CD of instrumental music. Some of the CD is simply breathtakingly beautiful.

But there is one track where Metheny squeaks from one position to another throughout the entire tune. I can't imagine how they didn't notice that it spoils the track.

Moral: One can have too much of a good squeak!

Hi Stuart, Robby and Phil

Thanks for you time to listen and your nice comments.

Yes Phil...its hard to tell the difference from the original. I sent both the original and Paul's version to a few friends and they couldnt tell the difference.

They may not have played it all the way through as the string squeak not being there at the end may have given it away :D :D
The string squeak has since been added!

I had to check myself that I had posted the right one :D :D :D

Robby: I sent you an email a while back commending you on a great sound file you did which someone posted a few weeks ago.
Did you not receive it?
I will pass on your regards to Paul!

Cheers
Spike
