KORITZAKI (Johnny Kongas and the G-Men)

Postby geronimo7476 » 08 Feb 2011, 23:06

Hi All. This tune was originally written and played by a South African band called 'Johnny and the G-Men' in 1962. All our local bands played this tune, including my band, The Tean Beats.
I'm not sure if this is exact as I can't find the recording anywhere so I'm playing from memory which tells me there may be some bits missing, so I added a short drum solo in the middle.
I have no idea what 'Koritzaki' means, I may be using bad language here, but I hope you enjoy it anyway.

Just catching up.
My goodness CC - a great tune!
Reminds me of a cross between something Hava Nagila'ish and a Japanese style tune.
Brill drum solo in the middle -that must have taken ages to program.
A nice 60's clippy twang to the Lead - Great stuff!!
cheers
Ian
