In June I took possession of a Strat body and neck that I ordered from Alan Brason. I had to wait eight months, but it was worth it !! The body is made of a single piece of alder and the neck is "AAA" bird's-eye maple made to my specs. For this guitar I ordered the complete electronics and hardware from Callaham, including the famous Callaham vintage bridge with "pop-in" trem arm and the so-called "Real 54" pickups that Lindy Fralin makes specially for Callaham. I am totally blown away by the bridge and all parts. The pots, switches, caps, wiring, are all first class industry standard and of the highest quality. I am still trying to decide which I like better, the new Lindy Fralin "Real 54s" or the Fender CS 54s that I have on my fiesta red Brason Strat. So far it's a tie . . . The tuners are vintage Kluson . . .
For more details about the parts, here is Callaham's website: http://www.callahamguitars.com/partsstr.htm
Anyway, I put the guitar together, fitted it with 12-56 Gibson L-5 strings, set it up and it plays and sounds divine!
Here is how it sounds (BT is by UB Hank):
