The Shadows Echoes_From Then To Now_Paul Rossiter

Hi Everyone

This video has been produced for those who have an interest in hearing the sound of the various echo units used by Hank Marvin and The Shadows.
Emphasis is given particularly to the post Meazzi era that included the Binson, Echoplex and various Roland echo units, up to EFTP and finally the TVS3.

The audio was produced by Paul and the video was produced by Spike with editing help from Paul.
I think the amount of research done by Paul is to be commended as it represents a memorable collection of information that will hopefully also be a useful historical reference point.

Hi Spike.

What a fantastic listen. A super end to a super series. Very well done to the TVS team. What about a DVD? anything in the pipeline?
Regards Geoff.

Hi Geoff,

Many thanks for your kind comments. This video was actually prompted by a posting on this site some time ago that was asking for more information about the echo units used by the Shadows in the post Meazzi era, and I thought that it might have some general interest.

We have discussed putting all of the recent videos and some other material onto a DVD for archival purposes, but could make it available to others if there is enough interest.

Best Regards,

Paul.

I for one have found this series very interesting.

This last video summarises a lot of the information contained within the previous ones and rounds things off very well.

Totally agree with all of the above comments, it's stuff that I had been aware of but never really had qualified knowledge of some of those details - thanks for making it understandable and entertaining.

Hi Lads

Thanks very much for your appreciation and time to comment.
Its been our pleasure to do it and I guess its something that needed to be done and I'm sure it has put a few pieces of the journey in place for all to reference at some time.

We hope you all have a great Christmas and New Year 2012 and may our love for this music continue.

Cheers
Spike

I enjoyed the whole set Paul and was great that you took the initiative to do it as it is very helpful to anyone who wants to recreate the early Shadows tones.
