[Phil McGarrick]

Written by Duke Ellington and Bubber Miley in 1927 and originally played on a trumpet.
Steely Dan made a great recording of this song for their Pretzel Logic album in 1974 where the muted trumpet part was simulated on guitar with a wah wah.
This is based on the Steely Dan version.

That was great Phil As you say, something different but great too.
Lovely guitar. I had a Gibson 325 that colour in a past life. Regretted having to get rid but it had a buzz I could'nt find and lost interest in it so it had to go.
Is that 9's you've got on it? Looks like it with the ease of bending you were doing.

I know this type of music doesn't appeal to everyone but being a big Steely Dan fan had to have
a go at it especially as Andrew was keen to do the piano parts.

Hugh - I used elixir 10's I think they are as light as you can go and still sound OK and are easy to bend.
I understand about selling a guitar and then regretting it afterwards... we all do it.
