Cliff Richard Spectacular (1960)

Interesting clip from one of the 1960 TV specials, clearly featuring audible support from The Shadows, but with a front line of (the late) Freddy Mills and Pete Murray. Is that Alfred Marks singing?

Anyway, I reckon that's Bruce's Vega guitar being wielded by Freddy.

Very interesting Jim - especially with the Hunters backing Dave Sampson.

I thought that it looked like the Vega too..maybe Bruce had it in the studio as a spare to the Jazzmaster.

No wonder Cliff used the Hunters as a backing band when the Shadows were not available for the Palladium, they were rather a clone of Cliff and the Shads with Dave Hunter out front.

John,
If you haven't already, check out The Hunters' two LPs, Teen Scene and Hits from The Hunters. Some classic instrumentals to be found there.
Cheers,
JB
