Right, I had a new guitar last week.

It sounds very Strat-like.

The strings sound (!!) too light for the style. The G seems to have been tuned open and gets progressively sharper up the neck.

Am I somewhere near right?

Using my considerable knowledge in these matters. :D

Coupled with the fact that I might have seen / heard this guitar. :o

I would say that a man named Smith had something to do with it's manufacture.

Think "Dragon two" pickups. 8-)

And we ain't even touched on the amplifier yet.

Anywhere near??

Clever man Ubique.
When you see it you'll understand a bit more and possibly eat your words.
Here's a clue.
It's short scale........ black........ with a stacked humbucker.
Vaguely strattish.
Volume and tone control.
