Ah, the recording desk is up in the loft (attic) at the moment Spike.

I used to post a bit when the site was developing (8/9 years ago) and we used to discuss equipment, technical details, methods (di or mic'd), but most people now know the score, so there isn't much mileage in posting just for the sake of posting. You've seen the results of those who don't get a 'pat on the back' so to speak, they go off in the huff and I don't really want to be a part of that. I still like to listen to good music though and the experiments other members participate in, so I limit myself to these SF these days. ;)

I understand exactly what you mean Alan and as a site manager over the past 6 years, I have seen many of such examples.
The good thing about posting is the help some people get from others who are more experienced. For the more experienced, I think its more a case of social interaction and a bit of fun more so than expecting a pat on the back.
I personally like the video postings that carry a bit of humour. They do get a lot more responses but also take a great deal of time organising....just ask me :D

Anyway its always good to hear your comments as you have a lot of experience and general knowledge. I used to like all those old Shads videos you used to post...they were great!!
Maybe you could again pop in the odd one here and there ;)

Cheers

Spike - enjoyed this - thanks for posting. I thought Gary got a great sound on the 'distorted' bits too! And the playing, as ever, is exemplary.
