As requested, links to the eTap2hw demos, here is the first of the replacements, which I have now re-recorded with heavy 12/52 strings , it makes a big difference!!

Thanks for listening guys, my new eTap2hw arrived this morning at around 11am. I did this last night and was quite pleased with it so I posted - it's the original machine that you built Ecca. The compression is across the whole track as it beefs up the BT having taken so much out removing Hank's guitar.
The guitar is strung with 10/46 strings which takes away a lot of the voice of the original, but this demonstrates that the sound is in there. I have some heavy strings somewhere in my stash, I may dig them out and get the Vox AC30/4 on the job too with the new eTap2hw - thanks Ecca for doing a great job, I love it and it's coming to work with me tonight. :)

Terrific sound and great playing Dave .... It is definitely one of the best Apache sounds I have heard in a very long while !!! Of course, a part of the credit also goes to your excellent interpretation. Definitely a winner

Thanks for listening so far guys - all a hundred and fifty odd of you . . . . . . ;)

I had another listen this morning and did a remix taking away the compression, the difference is loud and clear - and a perfect example of how to spoil a track by having too much compression.

In the early hours of Thursday morning when I did this, playing it back quietly it sounded right as I had done it, but alarm bells began to ring when Ecca commented that he could hear the compression, which is a big no no ! I should have cranked up the volume and had another listen before posting and would have spotted my error.

That said I'm happy that the eTap2hw does the business and since my new one with massive backlit controls arrived yesterday, I found some heavier strings that I will fit today and do a few more demos.
