Blue Star-My quest for "tone" continues

Postby Stranded Albatross » 30 Nov 2012, 10:31

Here is my attempt once again to capture some of the elusive early tone produced by The Shadows and Abbey Road Studios.
I hope you enjoy it and I have copied a link to my YouTube video. As this is a first attempt to link to YouTube, I hope it works.

As before I use a bare minimum of gear, my PodPro and Quad+. No etap2hw as yet or Meazzi, which would have made a made a massive contribution.

Please enjoy it and approach it with an open mind and feel free to comment.

Ok guys thanks for letting me know. Not too familiar with Youtube links.

I'll try and work it out, but in the meantime I'll upload to 4shared.

Lovely guitar tone and well played  - just one uncomfortable bit for me is that I think the rhythm guitar is out of tune, or the effect on it is making it sound that way.

Thank you Dave for your encouraging view. I wasn't aware of the rhythm guitar being out tune. Looks like I'll have to get some better b/ts. Can you suggest a reliable source please.

Regards
