Shine

Postby Phil McGarrick » 08 Jan 2013, 19:51

This is my Favourite song by Take That .
"Shine" was released on 26 February 2007 and features lead vocals by Mark Owen.
I saw them on TV over the Christmas period at their outdoor concert in Manchester Stadium 3rd June 2011 and that inspired me to have a go at an instrumental version.

I used a Boss Super Over-Drive SD-1 and Compressor Sustainer CS-2 .
I even found my guitar strap so I stood up !
Hope you like my arrangement of "Shine"
Cheers Phil

Bostin' that was, Phil !!
Phil Wolsteholme (Founder Hankie) used to play this at Club Meets before he stopped playing.
Come back, Phil (almost ) all is forgiven!!
Its a Cracker of a Sound File - loud and in your face and the sound itself is excellent.
I like Take That and this tune transfers well to an Instro.
Loved it!
cheers

Hi Fred. - Many thanks for your nice comments.
Yes standing up for video making is a new one for me ! I'll have to be careful not to fall over

Ian - I know you like "Take That" - I remember you doing an instro of one of theirs the day it was released.!
I'm only 6 years late - Is it really that old
Very glad you liked it - any recordings of Phil W's version ?

Happy new year to you both...
Cheers Phil

Phil, a new song, super new sound and great playing - this is what guitar playing is all about. Videos like this inspire guitar playing and push the boundaries from our comfortable early Shads sound to what is now available to those looking for new variations in sound and technique.

Very strong number with rich sounds full of passion.

Loved it. Great!
