Another oldie, if I remember right it was written by Bruce in 1964.
This has been posted on the other forums but this is for members here who perhaps haven't heard it.
The original is pretty straight forward with no orchestra etc. The drums are subdued but it is possible to hear what they're doing. Toms can just about be heard at the end although there is an overdubbed tom at the intro, middle and outro which is loud. I've copied this the best I can with it's pitch and timbre etc.
I did'nt attempt to get a super clean recording with this as the original is'nt anyway.
The rhythm guitar is probable the most heard, this, the bass and kick overload the track on each bar.
The lead again is slightly overdriven and also the echo's have quite a lot of distortion, it also has reverb. The mutes section is interesting in that there is something different going on here. I suspect that the track was ADT'd onto another machine and the two played together because there is a delay of around 15mls between the two tracks. There's also a kind of flanging sound here, it would'nt be this delayed track because the 15mls is too long a delay for flanging to occur.
I used a similar method in my mix.
I'm sure that a Burns was used for this, I tried a Strat but could'nt quite get the sound.
My bt, the instruments used are:-
1964 Burns, TVS3,AC30 H2, Fender Jazz Bass, BFD2 Drums and Taylor acoustic.
Please enjoy
