Farewell to Casablanca (Lennart Clerwall)

Postby rogera » 01 Feb 2013, 21:31

Here's my effort at recording "Farewell to Casablanca" by Lennart Clerwall.

The only recording of it that I know of is by the Swedish group '1961' - lead guitarist Ronnie Gustafsson (hope my spelling is correct).

I used my Strat ('57 vintage reissue) / echo was an Alesis Q2 / Vox AC15 / Shure SM57

Anyway, I hope that you like it.

Absolutely Spot On, Roger!
1861 indeed and one of Lenny's best tunes.
Great sound - really accurate tone and playing, as always,
cheers

Thanks for that Ian - I agree with you about this being one of his best compositions.

Hi Roger
Spot on sound, playing, everything. Good one.
Do you have any plans for a Clerwall backing track CD?
Regards Geoff.

Hello Geoff - thanks for your kind comments.

I have been thinking for some time about doing a CD with just Clerwall tracks. Perhaps I'll do it next time, but in the meantime
I'm hoping to have another CD ready in a month or two.

Another gem from your studio - crisp and clean with wonderful vintage tone from your strat. :)

Gets my vote.
Cheers,
Martyn

Mum's the word Ian - I'll keep you posted.

Incidentally, a little bird has told me that there is a strong possibility of 1961 recording another album soon.
