Cobra Colour Conundrum

I want a Burns Cobra but have a problem - they don't do it in a colour I like!

I think the Guards Red is really nice, but with those white scratchplates looks a bit too much like a Strat. The tortoiseshell plates are much prettier but Burns don't offer that combination.

So guys; what do you reckon are my chances if I buy one, of persuading Burns to supply me with a set of torty plates so that I can swap them over?

Otherwise my only options are:
1 - get someone to cut me a new set (expensive).
2 - buy a white one as well - which does come with torty plates - and swap them over, thus ending up with two guitars (also expensive).
3 - just buying the white one, but having it resprayed in red (probably the most expensive of the lot).
4 - buying the white one as in option 3, but respraying it myself (cheapest but not advisable as I'm no expert and a guitar body won't fit in my spray booth).

Just give Barry Gibson a call and ask if he'll sell you the bits you need.

Thanks for that David. I've just realised that the 'respraying a white one' option wouldn't work anyway as they have matching heads!

I'm sure I'll find Barry's contact details somewhere on the interweb.

(Probably be more tactful to wait until I've actually bought the guitar though.)
