Burns Vibra Artist guitar Top Nut problem resolved.

Hi Burns people,

I had a problem as some of you will know with the replacement of the 'top nut' of my vibra artist guitar. Namely I didn't know about the 'zero' fret.
Thanks to some fine advice from members I have now replaced the nut and restrung the old beauty. I used Ernie Ball 10 - 46 gauge Slinky strings and it sounds great.
As the experts will know the 40mm wide top nut requires slim fingers but the close strings are wonderfull when you get used to them.
Some of the volume and tone controls crackle a little when you adjust them but, it plays as pure as new when adjusted and hey, the old gal is about 52 years old.
I also replaced the surround to the jack plug socket because in the days of no 90° jack plugs the straight in jack plug and the tremolo arm tended to argue with each other a little.
Here are some pictures of the finished article. By the way it's for sale if anyone's interested.
