Wonder who is not for restoring the two currently on ebay. Obviously a lot of history there - not sure if it was a good history looks like one of abuse. I would have to restore guess half reasonable restore would cost around £500 so for the Vibra Artist at current price that would be £800 thats assuming you can get the parts and that electrics work and tuners ok. You could get a nice one for that.

Honest wear and tear is one thing, and worth preserving, but damage through mistreatment and disrespect is something else entirely and in those cases I would restore without a second thought.

Ah Yeah, examples like the ones on eBay at the moment are great candidates for a total rebuild. The green one especially!
There is a tried and tested technique that can get that artist neck straight...
Mgeek has near enough perfected it.
I had a Dallas solid guitar that had a bent neck and I fixed it, without even damaging The original paint
