Split Sonic tremolo/bridge problem

Postby Billyboygretsch » 09 Mar 2013, 10:35

I decided to take my Vista Sonic apart to give it a good clean and check out. Unfortunately when removing the bridge the roller bar fell out. I am not sure how the roller bar sits under the bridge. Is it supposed to be fixed or free as there appears to be some weld marks on the roller bar. Tried free and it falls into the body cavity. I am sure this is simple if you know how but unfortunately i do not. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Ther's one for sale in Coda of Stevenage at the moment... If all else fails you could take a look at that one...

Hi Bill,
Sounds like your roller bar is missing the bolts that screw in at each end. The flat heads of these sit in appropriately matching holes in the sides of the baseplate and keep the bar in place beneath the bridgeplate while still allowing sufficient movement. Give me a ring if you need further help and clarification.

Thanks Paul found the holes in the baseplate but no screws. Will be able to sort now - always something to do
