Something strange on my Marvin Signature

Can anyone help please. I have noticed when I play an A either on the 3rd string or at the 7th fret on the D string the open A vibrates. The same thing happens with open E string when I play an E. Can anyone advise the cause and hopefully cure. My lovely wife played a lot for the guitar and I dare not tell her there may be a bad problem with it. Any advice appreciated.

That's normal.

The same happens - to an extent - with any resonant guitar.

Thanks Jim. Just shows how little I know. Just glad there isn't a problem.
I have been told that there should be 5 springs on the trem. Mine has 3, the other two are in the wallet with the tools. How easy is it to fit them? and should I bother. As you have realised I know nothing:-(

The number of springs you use depends - to an extent - on the gauge of strings you prefer. It's not quite as straightforward as that because the tension of the springs can be varied, but as a rule of thumb, three springs should be fine for (say) 10-46.

Silly question I suppose, but is this a phenomenon due to the Rezo Tube bridge/tailpiece/vibrato unit?

The thought crossed my mind and it may well be the case. The overtones seem a bit excessive though. Jim has suggested a possible solution to reduce them which I will try.
