Most of the Burns 4 P.U.Bison guitars on this photo’s are part- or total- replicas !!!!!!!!
Probably made in the ( cellar?) work-shop from MUSIC GROUND !!??
Yes , I know the man ( not personally !) His name is : Richard Davis from the USA.
I have asked him several times to tell me the SERIALNo.’s from these 4P.U. Bison-gtrs. ....But he have never told the to me!!

Some of his descriptions have very suspect claims in them. I have no doubt that some of these guitars are very nice but they should not be offered with false claims which would affect the selling price.
The 1993 Bison being offered at the moment on eBay had the involvement of Jack Golder, who unfortunately was not around at that time.
Beware

I am pretty certain that there were only ever 49 original 4 pick-up Bisons. I have seen and played four examples over the years, the first being back in the mid-'70s and the last just a few years ago when I was at Barry Gibson's house to collect my Legend and he showed my his example. I have owned three three pick-up models dating from the pre-scroll-neck era (long since sold on). I would be flabbergasted if anyone had managed to gather a collection of original 4-pick-up examples amounting to more than 20% of the entire production.

And not one part missing from any of them. He must have been very lucky managing to get all of them and all black ones. Not sure how many sunburst were made. Strange how the fingerboards differ in colour on many.
Cheers for the link Denis

Including one in brown sunburst and a leftie, most examples in this baker's dozen of first generation Bisons certainly aren't what they seem, being deliberately designed to deceive the unwary and unsuspecting purchaser. Many do have missing parts and also sport very obviously incorrect components, such as machine heads and nuts, while the overly new cosmetics (unworn gold-plating, gloss black paint jobs) are equally suspect. The owner has claimed to have amassed all the surviving examples from the UK of this particular Burns oldie, but I'm afraid he's very much mistaken. The last time I looked at my records, I'd logged 37 out of the 49 produced, while Eddie Cross eventually completed and still owns the 50th.
