'Inspired' is the word to choose. This chap Entwhistle is not aiming to make exact copies of anything but the workmanship is to a very good standard and the prices are reasonable. My own collection includes an Alden TV Cruiser DLX - essentiaily a Telecaster Thinline in Fiesta Red with Bigsby tremolo and all metalwork in gold. Neither Fender nor anyone else have ever made such a guitar but the combination of shape, colour and fittings is very stylish in a 'looks great under a spotlight' sort of way
Likewise, who else thought of making a Telecaster bodied bass with a full 34' scale and a massive Gibson EB-0 style humbucking pickup?
If you want a true Jazzmaster you'll have to buy the real thing or a cheaper clone but the Jazzcaster could be fun and affordable.
Err . . . . what is this thread doing in the Burns section?
