Alan Enrwistle has sent me a description of the new pick ups featured on the new Bison Ultrasound as below

Well they are in P90 covers, but they have alnico 5 rod magnets, a different wire gauge and DCR to most P90's, i suppose they are closer to a Jazzmaster pickup, than a P90

It's a pity this wasn't made but the new ones are made to a low budget. I like the chrome jaguar style plate on this one

I don't think that's a chrome plate - look in the shadows of the knobs....

Just got some info from Sutherlands regarding the new Bisons

Hello Bill

Thank you for your enquiry regarding the BURNS BISON ULTRASOUND


Currently there are non in the country, no shops have them. The first shipment is about to dock here in the UK any day so within the week they should arrive here.

It’s down to you now to badger the dealer to order you one. No shops as yet have them on back order with us.

Once in... the retail is £379.99

Finishes. 2 TONE SUNBURST, GREENBURST, ORANGE, FIESTA RED.

Changed my mind, I thought they were like the black one with the Rezo Matic trem.

I'm not too bothered about it not having a Rez o tube. What does concern me is that it is a new design tremolo made in China - untested over here. I would have thought though Alan Enrwistle will have fully evaluated it. However I won't buy without try. Trouble is Sutherlands not very good at getting them into stockists
