The Searchers Burns Double Six

Interesting article about The Searchers use of 12 string guitars. A
pparently, it was a Burns Double Six used on When You Walk in the Room & not a Rickenbacker has been widely thought.

Interesting article by Frank Allen, but I always assumed they played Burns guitars on "Room" and other singles from 1965 as all period shots show them using them. It seems a shame that Frank didn't like his "hideous", rattly Bison bass - it looks magnificent to me!

Actually, I never doubted that it was a Burns! Having played this song on both, I think the Burns sounds better.

(Probably because the normal strings and the octave strings are strung the 'right' way round, whereas on the Rick they are reversed.)
