Nu Sonic is it worth it

Postby balston11 » Mon Dec 12, 2016 11:43 pm

There's a Nu Sonic needing an awful lot of work including finding quite a few parts particularly pickups. I have all the skills but what are the chances of finding the right parts and would the end product be worth it. Ebay listing here http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Burns-NUSONIC ... Swo4pYRde1

You can get a pickguard from Eddie Cross via Bill Lovegrove. Ditto for the knobs and other plastic-ware.

Perhaps you could use Tri-Sonic pickups rather than Nu-Sonic units? Even so, Burns does do a "no polepiece" pickup for some current models.

I offered £100 but wouldn't accept. Needs a refinish too.
