Marquee Trem Setup

Postby TOMMOLITTLELEVER » Mon Jan 11, 2010 2:10 pm

Iv'e had a green Marquee for several years--But never play it because of the Tremelo Action. It's SO stiff compared to the Fenders. I tried fewer springs, more Spring screw tension--then More springs,Less spring screw Tension. It still doesn't feel Comfortable to me>--Any advice mates--PS'--It is a Point Technologies Trem and not the Burns Replacement.

Cheers

I don't know much about this system Ian, but may I suggest that you also ask Barry Gibson of Burns Guitars. He is knowledgeable about these things and has always been very helpful . Good luck.

Ian,

Here's a good article on the subject written by Maurice Woodcroft back in 2003 (I think), I found it excellent when I had a Marquee for a while.

Hope ;) it helps!
