How Many?

Just wondered how many White Marvins the Shads had for stage use? Was looking through the Burns Book and noticed that some had the three screw top pick guard, whereas others, pictured at Talk of the Town for instance only had two centre screws in the top guard.

One each at any time.

There is more than enough reason to believe that Hank, at least, had one replacement white Marvin at some stage, since the one he used in the late 1960s and up to mid-1972 had a bound neck.

Of course, there was also the set of greenburst instruments as seen in "Finders Keepers" and "Rhythm And Greens".

It was the white Marvins I noticed. Both Hank and Bruce are pictured with the two screw top horn scratch plates in some pics instead of the usual 3 screw ones. I always assumed Bruce stuck to his original one, but these pics show differently
