Burns bass at the Iridium Club, NYC - Jeff Beck

Gary US Bonds (he of Quarter To Three fame) with Jeff Beck at the Les Paul tribute at the Iridium 2010.

But what's that bass at the back?

The Bass player Is Al Gare (The Imelda May Band)
From what i can see from the headstock shape it looks like a Burns Jazz bass
didnt see enough of the body or scratchplates to be sure?

it may be a marquee bass jim , cant realy tell from the video
the original 60's jazz bass had the same type headstock?

The one in the video has a Marvin/Shadows Bass-style split scratchplate, whereas the Jazz Bass had a one-piece, and it also has a black truss rod cover on the white headstock, whereas the Jazz bass had the adjuster at the heel (like other quality Burns instruments of the time)!

Hi Jim
managed to find Another clip and adjust the brightness etc
it is a Marquee bass as you said, looks exactly the same as the one i owned
with the gold hardware.

iv e seen licorice with the silver Marquee
Also Alan Jones With a white Marquee he may have been doing a guest appearance
with the foot tappers ?
