Well, I have thrown down my maximum bid and shall await the outcome. Whatever its pedigree, I'll be thrilled if I win it.

The Seller recently commented that the vibrato cover is inscribed "Designed And Handcrafted For Hank Marvin".

Again, I'm most grateful for the comments and assistance. Should I win it, I will post some detailed pictures.

As I said Its a Marvin fitted with a Shads Custom neck plate in error!

Well, I won it for US $710.00, which seems a very reasonable price to me. Thanks to all for your input. Will post some pics of this guitar with my White Marvin soon.
