I had a look and emailed Barry to ask what the differences were.

No reply yet but,if the only difference is it's noiseless, then I think I'll look at getting
one without waiting.

I thought I saw a thread saying they were stopping chinese manufacture
and moving somewhere else, maybe that's another difference, better build?

Hi Alan, the info on the Burns site is virtually non existant re the "New Burn Apache" other than the mention of noiseless pickups. Whilst the pickups may be an improvement (who knows) over the existing pickups - which I think are absolutely superb and very authentic for Shadows tunes, the build quality IMHO will be extremely hard to impove upon.
The current model is extremely well put together and the finish is nothing short of first class! Perhaps Barry will address the key note markers on the next issue?? - but other than that, the existng Apache is an absolute joy to own and play. Go On Alan!! ;) You know you want to!! Speak nicely to Father Xmas :P
Best Regards
Keith.

Hi Keith

Thanks for the reply,I have already spoken to Mummy Xmas who is very enthusiastic about the whole
thing and gave Her usual encouraging comment.....................Please Yourself,You Do Anyway.lol

Anyway,I would hate to get one now only to find that for the sake of 3 months or so,I could have
got the latest model.

I did have a Marvin Signature but that's another story.

Hi, does anyone know if it will be a 6 string or 12 string instrument? There is no real information on the Burns website.

Hi Rover,
Despite the apparent confusion, what is happening I believe is that there will be a new unlimited Apache issue with noiseless pickups, and also a twelve string version with tremolo (but with a flat headstock as per the one Hank played in the tour - but his was custom built) - so you can buy two new guitars !

Regards, Nick.
