It was scratch built for him by our drummer in early 1967, as my pal the bass player in our first band is left handed and LH basses were rare back then.
It still has the same set of flatwound bass strings that it was fitted with...51 years ago.
The strings still can be tuned and played at concert pitch and the bass is still usable and sounds and plays OK...BTW it is a copy of a LH Rickenbacker 4001 like Macca's...
Is this a record, I wonder?
