Yes correct Dave, especially playing live in house. This is just a simple live phone recording, but demonstrates the Boss Katana is quite a capable amp for these sounds.

I use mine in my living room because of it's small size. I could easily put it in the car along with a speaker cabinet and gig with it, but I use my Fender Ton Master for that at the moment. It's good to have back up though and all the echoes are in there set up for the stuff I play. :)

Nicely played, any chance of listing your settings, as a Mk2 TSL file won't work on my Mk1 katana. Thanks

Should be possible to view the settings from my tsl file in the software I think

This time an older tune, Mustang.

Again on the Katana 100 Head mk2 through its 5 inch built in speaker. All sounds done on Katana.

I~ am wondering if these patches will work on the Boss Katana 50 mk2, and would this amp be ok for Shadows music ?

Hello folks.

I'm thinking bout getting a BOSS Katana for my Shadows tones.
I really want something more authentic without breaking the budget.
But how does it works? You just plug the guitar in, use the clean amp settings and work with the EQ?
Or you have to download patches of sounds of VOX amps and plug it in the computer and all that stuff?

Thanks in advance!

You say that you don't want to break the budget, so I would be interested to know what type of amp you're currently using.
As you may have read on this thread, I had great results from just using a Katana Mk2 head which gave me the amp sound as well as all the echoes I needed for Shadows stuff, just by taking time to understand how to do it using the link up to my computer.
It's a while since I had mine and I have since sold it and moved on, so I don't remember too much about how I did it, but it was good.
The reason I sold was , I went down the route of buying a TVS3 that came up at the right price, as well as a Meazzi Echomatic.
