Trem spring configuration

Postby John Boyd » 03 Apr 2010, 08:17

Hello all,
While putting together a 'project Strat' ( all Fender parts and Fiesta Red of course) I got to wondering about the best layout for the trem springs.
I'll be using three and any suggestions with pros and cons will be most welcome.
Cheers,
JB

Fender typically load new Strats with 3 springs and 'W' formation and I have 12's on mine and it works fine just adjust the claw and job done ! :D

Roger,
Thank you. That's what I'll do, but I'll be using 11's.
Cheers,
JB
