GUITAR LINK UCG102 Interface from BEHRINGER

Postby MikeAB » 25 Apr 2010, 12:30

I've never been able to pluck up the courage to attach my Strat (via RFX 2000/EFTP) to my computer - either to record myself with BT's or just to get a headphone facility to play along with them. The above kit looks like it would do it and is on sale at Maplins. Has anyone any experience wth it? Keep the technical stuff simple please! Thanks for any advice.

I have the UCA202. They are very good interfaces and very good sound quality but can be limiting all depending how you look at it.
Firstly when you install it will take over (disable) your on board sound card and of course you will have to re configure your there sounds as all interfaces do so you need a small mixer for your output sound. If you have a laptop and want portability and don't want to take the behringer you'll have to enable the windows drivers again.
Secondly it does'nt have a midi interface which could be useful with your RFX2000.
