David,

I take it that you refer to the doc I posted, sorry but I 'snatched' it from the web at some time ago as is, I don't have any info to offer on the doc itself. That valve may br a USA desig perhaps? There is a contact email address at the bottom, perhaps the answer could be obtained there.................. :(

I apologize for my mistake. I think the valve is a 5751. I don´t remember the brand and I´m now far from home.

I still can't seem to find any valve brand with this number, Strange nothing comes up

Googling '5751 valve' brings up quite a few entries for this alternative ECC83/12AX7.

The 5751 is a lower gain variety of the 12AX7 and used in the pre amp stages to give more clean headroom if memory serves me correctly. I know SRV used to favour these in his preamps for a cleaner tone.
