Early studio photos

Postby Graylion » Tue Dec 01, 2009 8:39 pm

I'm really cracking up here! I can't find the thread that had this photo on and was labelled "Shads q-s session". It has Cliff in the shot on the Gibson J200, it was stated. There were a few photos on this thread - many thanks to whoever posted them but I am sure that it is Brian Bennett in the background between Jet and Norrie (?). To paraphrase a quote - "The ears have it"! (Sorry Brian!). This means it couldn't have been the "Quartermassters Stores" session. Tony was drummer until October 1961 so wouldn't he have been on that session? Of course I could be wrong but my wife reckons I never am!
I have mildly edited the photo, got rid of the colour tint and upped the brightness and contrast a touch. Please someone point me to the original thread as there were some interesting studio shots with Cliff!
Cheers, Lionel

Lionel,

I think the thread you're thinking of had the words "Quatermasster's Stores" in the title.

Hi Lionel,

I had replied in the original thread (Post#13) that I thought it was BB on drums in the photo. To my ageing eyes, it still looks more like Brian than Tony.

Of the pictures iv'e seen of Jet and Brian in the band, Jet didn't have bleached hair and didn't they stop using the ac15's around mid 1960?

It's BB, but before Tony left the band...
